After you create a distribution folder, customize the installation by creating answer file(s) and adding devices, device drivers, applications, Help files, support information, and other components. Depending on what you want to customize, use Setup Manager to perform either or both of the following tasks:

Add entries in the answer file to provide specific instructions to be carried out by Setup during installation. Populate the distribution folder by adding files, programs, and applications.

The tools you can use to customize Windows XP Professional depend on your choice of methods to install the operating system. Table 2-4 shows the customization tools that are covered in the Using Windows XP Professional Customization Tools section later in this chapter.

In addition to the minimum requirements, there are several Microsoft recommendations for any computer running SFU. There are also some limitations associated with SFU 3.0. The following list outlines recommendations that should be met to ensure maximum performance as well as limitations to keep in mind:

1. Drag a SaveFileDialog control located in the Toolbox s Dialogs category to the form. This control has no design-time representation; it will appear only in the component tray, which is the gray section below the designer surface along with the MenuStrip and ToolStrip controls. See Figure 5-21 for the location of the SaveFileDialog control. We ll use the SaveFileDialog control to wire the click event to both the Save button on the toolbar and the Save item in the File menu. To have the same operation performed when either event occurs, we ll write a block of code called a method, and we will call this method in all the places we need it.
